15 US travel agents joined WATA Fam Trip in Kenya organized by Mr R. Sehmi from TRAVEL ASSOCIATES Ltd Nairobi.

5 unique parks and reserves were visited as well as corresponding lodges and the US travel agents were really under the cham of this wonderful country; surely this is the new destination they will include into their offers

On this occasion, Michal Barszap was appointed WATA Ambassador and Market Manager for the Americas.

TAP winning "Planet Earth" by UNESCO

The TAP was awarded by UNESCO and the International Union of Geological Sciences with the "Earth Award 2010" awarded in the category "Sustainable Most Innovative Product" in recognition of the Offset Program Emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the company.
TAP was the first airline in the world to launch on 5 June this year the Offset Program of CO2 in partnership with the passengers providing the company the opportunity to compensate, on a voluntary basis, CO2 emissions resulting from their flights, thereby contributing to projects that reduce emissions in developing countries supported by TAP.

WATA was introduced to the Rotary District Club Bulgaria through initiative of WATA-MIEL Ltd.

This introduction took place in the frame of the visit of Mrs Fournier in the Stara Zagora region for the promotion of this region as a long standing sustainable tourist destination.

We can find a common idea in our founders spirit when creating the Rotary in 1905 and WATA in 1949 : - The wish to work with a high civic and professional ethic, to work for the progress of peace and understanding between the people and to carry solidarity and trust between the professional partners.

Rotarians are exclusive travellers who can expect exclusive service providers in the destinations they are travelling. WATA through its 60 years of existence has always maintained the quality of services through now 80 partners into 70 countries. With very strict criteria for membership, our members are long established companies on which clients can rely on il all aspects of theit rip, with a tailor made and personalized range of services.

Rotarians can therefore expect a high level of quality and devotion from all WATA agencies in all countries they visit with the same personal attention as if they were in the hands of their colleague and friend, Mr Blagoev from MIEL Bulgaria.

WATA is the longest established network of travel agencies and the Leading one.

It was on May 5th, 1949 that 8 professional travel agents from France, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland met in Geneva to create an international body to improve and rationalise the organization of the international tourism.
Their goal :
- Establish a network of trustworthy and responsible business partners
- Work like a team to show that unity is strength.

Under the leadership of their first President, Mr Daniel V. DEDINA from Paris, they started to legalize the trademark WATA, World Association of Travel Agencies, on a global basis.
The network grew, business prospered and WATA enjoyed an excellent and growing reputation.
