Kostroma (Russian National Dance Show)
June – September
The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” is the show where traditional choreography harmonizes with colorful costumes; fairytales and bylinas echo with motives from the Soviet times.
This show is retrospective of Russian history and culture from the beginning of Christian epoch till our days. The story is told by half a hundred dancers who change up to 17 costumes against dozen different backgrounds.
It is meant to rediscover traditional Russian art and produce an impressive presentation without hackneyed and unimaginative clichés.
